video vs virtual tours

Stephen Schweickart fromVScreen does a great job comparing the two. Here’s a recap.

  1. Video is unequaled in its ability to create an emotional connection.
  2. Video is the cutting edge tool for marketing. People are expecting video more and more.
  3. Video takes interactivity and exposure to a new level. From being able to fast forward, pause, rewind, to sending out to the world via email,  twitter, facebook etc…
  4. Video will set you apart for the rest, it will elevation your marketing vision and efforts to the next level.
  5. Clients love video, it shows you are making the maximum effort to market with the latest technology.
  6. Big ticket items deserve special attention. Video will do just that. High end clients understand the importance of first impressions.
  7. Hiring a professional is more affordable than you think.

2009 GACAR Affiliate of the Year

2009 GACAR Affiliate of the year

The Gainesville Alachua County Association of Realtors (GACAR) awarded me the Affiliate of the Year for 2009.

I was sitting in the back of the luncheon banquet room listening to the speakers and was sudden overwhelmed with excitement and happiness when I heard last years affiliate winners start to describe me and all the activities I am involved in. I  became suddenly flush when everyone started to turn around an look at me.

I want to thank every for giving me this award. It means a lot.

When I started my new career as a small business owner photographing and helping to market homes back in 2005 , I left  the comfort of a 12 year work environment that include many  friends. It was a very uncertain time.  But I soon found another set of colleagues. Ones that are very hard working, team spirited, helpful and have expansive visions.

GACAR has become my work family. Being involved in committees through out the years has been immensely rewarding. No only do we help our association grow and become better at servicing the membership and our clients,  we get a chance to enrich our life with wonderful friendships and good times.

Thanks again,  Aaron

Realtor.com Launches New iPhone App

January 13, 2010 by Aaron Bailey · 1 Comment

Cool stuff, I just test this app out. It uses your position to search for homes right around where you are, shows nearby open houses – you can also search by MLS# and a host of other categories. This is a very useful app both for the buyer/consumer and Realtors.

On the Realtor side, Realtors can sync with their account via this app. Meaning, their branding and contact information is carried over so that interested buyers can easily reach them – even add the Realtor to their iPhone address book. It’s ultra slick as an interested buyer can contact the listing agent in a number of ways with a single tap… ask a question… call agent directly… visit the Realtor’s Website.

On the consumer/buyer side, the information is great and the photos look really good. You can tilt the screen horizontal for landscape and the images file up the entire screen at a eally good resolution. My pictures look awesome on this app – I am happy!

As technology advances, Realtor’s listing presentations (how they present their listings) is going to matter even more. Enticing the buyer to call you or see your home may only be a picture away.

Realtor.com has plans to to create an app for other platforms as well.
