I had a fun time doing portraits again for GACAR’s Holiday Party. It was a blast! The 5×7’s should come in the next day or so and be ready for pick up at GACAR towards the end of next week. Below are a few of the images.

Tips for preparing your home for a photo shoot

November 19, 2009 by Aaron Bailey · Leave a Comment

Keep this point in mind:

YOUR HOME WILL BE SEEN BY HUNDREDS OF PEOPLE !!!!

In general, put personal belongings out of sight. You want the perspective buyer to envision themselves in your home. Clear off tables, counter tops, walls, pack up your books, and keep personal pictures to a minimum. Create Space.

(Tip: Put essential items used daily in a small box that can be stored in a closet when not in use.)

1) De-clutter! De-clutter! De-clutter!
• take all refrigerator magnets and anything else off your refrigerator.
• clear off kitchen counter tops, put away coffee makers etc.
• clear knickknacks. (Tip: if it fits in the palm of your hand, clear it away.)

2) Remove any seasonal decorations.

3) Have all light bulbs working or replaced.

4) Have the lawn moved and looking good.

5) Remove all vehicles from the driveway or lawn and close garage doors.

Inside the house. I will photograph the main rooms such as the formal living room, family room, dining room, foyer, kitchen, breakfast room, sun/Florida room, den/study, game room/bonus room, master bedroom and master bathroom. Secondary rooms will not be photographed unless they are unique; for example, an oversized bedroom or a bedroom with custom built-ins.

Having a successful photo shoot is very important to me. I want to create the “WOW! I gotta see this house” factor. The online presentation I create is a mini commercial meant to generate excitement and interest.

I look very forward to helping you sell your home. Please, if you have any questions, feel free to contact me.
