Realtor.com Launches New iPhone App

Cool stuff, I just test this app out. It uses your position to search for homes right around where you are, shows nearby open houses – you can also search by MLS# and a host of other categories. This is a very useful app both for the buyer/consumer and Realtors.
On the Realtor side, Realtors can sync with their account via this app. Meaning, their branding and contact information is carried over so that interested buyers can easily reach them – even add the Realtor to their iPhone address book. It’s ultra slick as an interested buyer can contact the listing agent in a number of ways with a single tap… ask a question… call agent directly… visit the Realtor’s Website.
On the consumer/buyer side, the information is great and the photos look really good. You can tilt the screen horizontal for landscape and the images file up the entire screen at a eally good resolution. My pictures look awesome on this app – I am happy!
As technology advances, Realtor’s listing presentations (how they present their listings) is going to matter even more. Enticing the buyer to call you or see your home may only be a picture away.
Realtor.com has plans to to create an app for other platforms as well.

With the economy picking back up, hopefully we’ll see more quality homes being bought and sold.
