Deep in the heart of Ocala’s esteemed horse country lies this iconic gem – New Castle Farm. This farm represents one of the most exceptional training facilities in the area. This stunning 180 plus acres, includes 9 training barns, a turnout barn, and a ~50-stall sales barn, for a total of approximately 260 stalls; there is also a cold water spa barn with therapy pool, four 5-horse euroxcisers, loading chutes, wash racks, round pens, and equipment and storage buildings. There are multiple living quarters, including a manager’s home, barn apartment, and the main residence sitting high on the hill overlooking the beautiful pastures and track. This farm features Hwy 27 frontage, as well as being just seconds from Golden Ocala and the new World Equestrian Center. The star of this quintessential farm is the 3/4 mile beautifully groomed, irrigated racetrack, which is one of the most exceptional tracks in the vicinity. It’s 60′ feet wide, and features a quarter-mile chute, and six-horse starting gate. Always Dreaming, winner of the 2017 Kentucky Derby, trained on this track as well as the 1978 Triple Crown winner, Affirmed. A treasure-trove of celebrated horses were broke or trained at this first-class farm, including Uncle Mo, Liam’s Map, Little Mike, Abby Girl, Bella Belluci, and Stately Character, just to name a few.
